Omega Land Surveying, Inc. is always seeking experienced and reliable individuals to fill roles as a Survey Technician or on a Field Crew. We have opportunities for office-based, field-based, or hybrid positions, depending on your experience and preference. As a small but dynamic firm in San Diego, we collaborate with Omega Engineering Consultants to provide exceptional surveying services for residential and commercial land development projects across Southern California.
Responsibilities
Office-Focused Role:
• Process data from field surveys to ensure accuracy and efficiency.
• Prepare precise calculations for construction staking task
• Draft topographic surveys and ALTA-NSPS Land Title Surveys.
• Draft Records of Survey and Subdivision Maps.
Field-Focused Role:
• Lead one-man or two-man survey crews to perform boundary, topographic, and construction staking surveys.
• Operate and maintain survey equipment, including robotic total stations, GNSS receivers, and data collectors.
Qualifications
• For office roles, proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D is required.
• For field roles, experience with Data Collection Software and equipment such as Robotic Total Stations and GNSS Receivers is essential.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
• A strong work ethic with the ability to adapt to physical fieldwork demands and maintain a professional demeanor in all environments.
• Responsible, punctual, and open to working overtime as needed.
• A valid California Class C driver’s license.
• Must currently reside in San Diego or provide a clear timeline for relocation.
